These double sided CVCe cards are teaching tools to help children learn to read and spell CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) and Magic e words.
This set comes with 20 cards (40 words), 26 foam letters and 1 erasable marker.
How to use
One side of the card has a picture of a CVC word with its spelling jumbled up to help beginner spellers.
The other side of the card shows a picture representing the same word but with a magic/ silent e at the end - it has now become a CVCe word! The picture serves as a hint for what the magic/silent e word is, and blank spaces are provided for the child to fill in the missing CVC letters by writing or using foam letters. Foam letters come with red vowels so that you (the teacher) can emphasize how the vowel sound changes in magic/silent e words.
Each set contains 20 double-sided card that allows reading and spelling of 40 CVC/CVCe words. Also comes with a list of suggested activities.
