CVC Spelling Cards

These double-sided, levelled cards were developed as practices for spelling of CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words to train phonemic awareness.

How to use

One side of the card has a picture of the target word with its spelling jumbled up. Children can use foam/plastic letters to spell the word correctly, or write the correct spelling on paper. The other side of the card shows the same picture with blank spaces for the child to write in the correct spelling using an erasable marker.

Each set allows spelling of 30 CVC words and comes with a list of suggested activities.
